Hi Jim,

Both of those are useful and valuable insights - and I don't think anyone would wish to see directors with inhibited bodily movement. But it's equally true that many of us start out with much more than is needed.

And lack of extraneous motion is not the same an un-energised - something that is manifestly and beautifully demonstrated in Greg's own directing. He is indeed a wonderful role model - very voice-friendly gestures, arising I suspect from his attentive listening. Thank you for making me sit here thinking about his directing style for the last few minutes!
