I stumbled across your blog for fortunately, as I am in a similar situation as you, and thought you might be able to help me over a huge hurdle.
I too am using Sibelius, and am trying to arrange in the barbershop style (wooo). There is a barbershop template already in the program when you start a new score, but here's what I can't seem to figure out: how do you write four independent musical parts in that template they give you!? It's driving me crazy. The closest I've come is selecting a different number on the keypad where it changes colour, but the notes don't show up properly as you would find in barbershop sheet music - they appear directly side by side, instead of on top of one another. Also, it doesn't let me mix the sounds independently.. it treats "tenor lead" as one instrument, and "baritone bass" as another one.
I hope you understand my predicament, and i REALLY hope you can help. If I've been unclear, I am simply inquiring on how to use Sibelius to arrange for barbershop.
